No Korean academy can show you a RISD “acceptance rate” you can check, because a rate needs the number of RISD applicants behind it, and academies rarely publish that. What an academy can show is a count: how many RISD admissions, in which years and departments, confirmed how. Ask for that, and treat any rate offered without it as marketing.
Here is ours, as an example of the form. In 2009–2026 our students received 68 RISD acceptances, led by Graphic Design (23) and Illustration (14). Only 4 of the 68 came with a RISD award.

- Pre-College is not admission. RISD states that Pre-College has no admission tests or portfolio requirements.
- Early Decision is binding. The deadline is November 1; Regular Decision is January 20.
- The portfolio is 12–20 works, with up to 3 process uploads; master copies, fan art, anime and drawing from photos are discouraged.
- English: TOEFL 5 on the new scale, IELTS 7, or Duolingo 120, unless waived.
