SAIC is one of the three schools we point Korean families toward when funding has to be part of the plan — alongside MICA at 80% and Parsons at 60%. It is also among the most theory-driven and interdisciplinary schools in the United States. Those two facts sit together comfortably, which is the point.

Note also what SAIC’s average award is not. At $46,775 it is below our overall average of $52,306 — SAIC gives often rather than largely. That is the more useful shape for planning, because you can build a budget around a probable award in a way you cannot around a rare one.

CalArts we cannot speak to on funding.
